Ayodhya is located on the bank of river Saryu in Uttar Pradesh India, is the birth place of Lord Ram and setting of the epic Ramcharit Manas (Ramayana). Owing to the birth place of Lord Ram, Ayodhya (Awadh) has been regarded as one of the seven most important pilgrimage sites (Saptapuri) for Hindus.

Geography and Climate

Ayodhya has a humid subtropical climate, typical of central India. Summers are long dry and hot, lasting from late March to mid June, with average daily temperature near 32°C.They are followed by the monsoon season which lasts till October, with annual precipitation of a proximity 1067 mm and average temperature around 28°C .Winters start in early November and lasts till the end of January, followed by a short spring in February and early March are mild, near 16°C, but night can be colder.

Places of Interest

Ayodhya is an important place of pilgrimage for the Hindus. A verse in the Garuda Purana names Ayodhya among the most sacred and foremost cities , the others being Mathura, Haridwar, Kashi, Kanchi Avantika(Ujjain)and Dwarka.
Famous Temples : Shree Ram janam Bhoomi Hanuman Garhi, Kanak Bhawan, Bharat kund(Nandigram), Ramkot, Nageshwarnath Temple, Dashrath Mahal, Angad Tila , Tulsi Smarak Sadan, Janki Mahal, Brahm kund , Rishabhdev Jain temple, Ram ki paidi, Balmiki Ramayan Bhawan , Mani parvat.
